From June 23 to 25, SAATI had the pleasure of welcoming 20 students from In&ma École Supérieure de la Performance to its headquarters and production sites in Appiano Gentile and Veniano, Italy in what was far more than a traditional company visit.
This three-days immersive experience, designed as part of In&ma’s international educational program, brought together young talents from France and the technical expertise of SAATI to tackle a shared mission: rethinking industrial processes through fresh eyes.
Not Just Visitors, but Innovators
The students, coming from different backgrounds in industrial performance, were introduced to the heart of SAATI’s manufacturing capabilities, from technical weaving to filtration solutions. With guidance from internal specialists, they gained firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities within a modern, global manufacturing environment.
But the real challenge came next.
Divided into four cross-functional teams, the students were asked to solve a real-world business task designed by SAATI’s Operations team. After conducting on-site observations and analyzing internal workflows, they pitched their ideas to a jury made up of SAATI professionals and the accompanying faculty from In&Ma.
Each project offered concrete suggestions for operational improvement, digitalization, and people engagement — showcasing not only the students’ creativity but also their ability to align with SAATI’s forward-looking mindset.
A Shared Commitment to Talent and Innovation
While no single team was declared a winner, all participants contributed valuable perspectives and sparked ideas that SAATI plans to further evaluate and potentially implement in the near future.
“We don’t just open our doors. We open a dialogue between generations, cultures, and ways of thinking,” commented SAATI’s HR team. “It’s not only a learning opportunity for the students, but also for us.”
This initiative is part of a broader effort to connect with young professionals and invest in the future of industry by creating spaces for collaboration, innovation, and global exchange.
SAATI would like to thank all the students who participated with such enthusiasm, competence and curiosity — reminding us that the future of manufacturing lies not only in what we make, but in how we inspire the next generation to make it better.
